Best weekly spa water care routine?

I’ve been trying to find a simple weekly routine for maintaining my hot tub. I want to avoid cloudy water or weird smells but don’t want to overdo the chemicals either. For those of you who’ve nailed down a good rhythm what’s your go-to weekly spa care routine using AquaDoc products?

My weekly routine is super simple. Every Sunday I test my water with AquaDoc strips, adjust pH and alkalinity if needed, and add a capful of non-chlorine shock. I also rinse the filter with a hose and give the shell a quick wipe with a microfiber towel. Keeps my water crystal clear all week.

I follow a three-point rule: test, treat and clean. Test your water first then treat with sanitizer or shock depending on use. I use AquaDoc Clarifier every week to keep the water sparkling. Then I wipe down the waterline and clean the filter every other week. Works like magic.

Mine’s a bit more relaxed. I check sanitizer midweek and shock on Fridays. Every two weeks I deep clean the filter and add AquaDoc Scale Control. Once a month I toss in a line flush product to keep everything running smooth. It’s a nice rotation that prevents build-up.

This is exactly the kind of schedule I needed. I like the mix of weekly and biweekly steps seems easy to keep up with. I’ll set up a Sunday routine and include clarifier like you mentioned. Thanks everyone.

My routine is super simple too. I just check the water every week, add a little sanitizer if it needs it, and clean the filter every couple of weeks. Keeps the water clear without much hassle.

For me, keeping it simple works best. I check the water once a week, pay attention to clarity and smell, then adjust only if needed. You dont have to overload anything, consistency and a clean filter are what keep the water feeling right.
