Can pool circulation patterns influence Eagle Ray test readings?

If water circulation isn’t perfectly balanced, I’m wondering whether water chemistry might differ slightly between different areas of the pool. Has anyone taken Eagle Ray samples from multiple locations to see if readings change?

Emily, yes, circulation patterns can absolutely make strip results vary by location because some areas mix well while others are dead spots, so a sample near a return can read “higher” (especially after dosing) while a quiet corner can read lower. I keep it consistent by running the pump 30–60 minutes first, taking an elbow-deep sample away from returns and the skimmer, and reading the strip on the same timing; if you want to confirm circulation impact, grab two samples (high-flow spot vs quiet corner) and compare FC and pH after the water has had time to mix evenly.
