I’ve tried both, but the sound is never quite right. How do you handle music for your backyard parties?
From what Yunse Kang described, I totally agree that speaker placement makes a huge difference. I don’t put mine right at the pool edge, I move it a bit farther back and slightly elevated so the sound spreads evenly without cranking the volume. In my experience, when it’s too close to the water and people are talking, the sound just bounces around and feels off. For me it’s not about expensive gear, it’s about smart placement and direction so the music stays enjoyable without overpowering conversations.I used to rely on my phone, but outdoors it gets drowned out by chatter and wind, so I use one small speaker and place it higher up behind the seating area, not right by the pool, so the sound spreads evenly without cranking volume and it stays safer from splashes. Result is music you can actually hear while people still talk normally, and I’m not stressed about water near it. Are your parties more loud and chatty, or more chill with background music?
