Does water temperature affect Eagle Ray testing accuracy?

I usually test my pool water in the afternoon when the water temperature is higher, but sometimes I test in the morning as well. I’m wondering whether temperature differences could slightly influence the Eagle Ray readings. Has anyone compared results taken from colder morning water versus warmer afternoon water?

Water temperature can make strip results look a bit different, because color development tends to run slower in colder water and can look less “bold” if you’re reading right on the timing window. If you’re like Ananya testing in the colder morning and warmer afternoon, I’d keep it consistent: same elbow-depth sample spot, follow the exact read timing, and if the water is really cold I’ll let the sample sit briefly so it’s not wildly different before dipping. For numbers you really care about, I’ll occasionally cross-check with a drop test so you’re not chasing strip-to-strip variation.

If you test cold mornings vs warm afternoons, I’d keep it consistent: same elbow-deep spot, strict read timing, and if the water is really cold I’ll let the sample sit for a minute before dipping so the comparison isn’t wildly skewed. If the important numbers keep looking weird, I’ll occasionally cross-check with a drop test so I’m not chasing strip variation.
