Foam only shows up when pool light is on at night?

Weird one during the day water looks fine, but every time I turn on the pool light at night I see tons of white foam near the surface. In daylight it’s invisible. Is it really there all the time or is the light tricking me?
 
I’ve had that happen too! Turns out the foam was caused by chemical or body residue in the pool. When the lights are on, it just makes it more visible. After checking the filters and adjusting the pH, everything went back to normal.
 
I’ve had this too the pool light just makes the foam visible, it’s not a trick. It’s usually leftover algaecide or body oils/lotions. Have folks rinse first, clean the filter, tidy up the pH, and use a small defoamer dose if needed.
 
If it keeps showing up, I’d swap a little water and add a small dose of defoamer. You can brush the surface and skim the foam. It usually fades that night.
