How long should you wait between adding different pool chemicals?

Sometimes multiple chemical adjustments are needed at the same time, such as correcting pH and adding chlorine.
Is there a recommended waiting period between adding different chemicals to avoid unwanted reactions?

I usually leave 30–60 minutes between additions with the pump running so everything mixes before I add the next thing or retest. If I’ve just lowered pH (acid) and I still need to add chlorine, I lean closer to the full 60 minutes and add them in different areas so they don’t meet in a concentrated pocket. My main rule is never mix chemicals in the same container, and if you’re unsure, waiting longer is safer than rushing it.
