Pool turns slightly cloudy every time we have a big swim day.

Not dealing with full on murky water but I’ve noticed that after we have friends over and the pool gets heavy use, it turns slightly cloudy by the evening. By the next day it usually clears up on its own. Is that just normal from extra swimmers or does it mean my filtration isn’t keeping up?

Pretty normal after heavy use. Sunscreen, body oils and general debris all hit the water at once. As long as it clears up within a day your system is probably doing its job.

You might try extending your pump run time on party days. I started running mine a few extra hours when we have a lot of swimmers and it helped clear things up faster.

Check your filter pressure after those busy days. Mine spikes a bit after heavy use and a quick cleaning keeps everything flowing better for the next round.

Good to know it’s not just me. I’ll extend the pump time next time we host and keep an eye on filter pressure. Thanks for the reassurance.
