Return jets blowing out bubbles instead of steady water

Just noticed the return jets are shooting tiny bubbles all the time even though the pump basket is full of water I tightened the lid but the bubbles are still there.
 
I had the same issue it was a small air leak on the suction side of the pump once I replaced the gasket on the lid the bubbles went away.
 
Check the union fittings and pipe joints too mine had a hairline crack on the suction line that let in air without leaking water it caused bubbles nonstop until I patched it.
 
Might not be a line leak often it’s a low water level or a stuck skimmer weir pulling air. Top up the water, lube the pump lid O-ring, and make sure the pump’s drain plugs are snug.
 
I’ve had this happen too! Turns out, there was a small crack in the suction pipe that was letting in air. After fixing it, the bubbles went away. Try checking the pipe connections and make sure everything is tightly sealed.
 
Usually this is air sneaking in on the suction side. I’d top the water to mid-skimmer, clean & lube the pump lid O-ring, then tighten the lid. Run the pump to purge the air. Try that first.
