What is the best way to remove fine debris after removing a winter cover?

After removing the winter cover, I often notice fine debris or dust settling on the pool floor. Sometimes brushing or vacuuming stirs it up and spreads it throughout the pool.
What methods work best for removing fine debris during pool opening without making the water cloudy?

When I pull a winter cover and see fine dust settled on the floor, I don’t go aggressive with brushing because it just turns into a cloud. I’ll let things settle, then vacuum super slowly with the vac head flat on the floor, like sweeping a room. If it keeps blowing back through the returns, I’ll go to waste if your setup allows it, or I’ll plan on cleaning the filter right after since pressure usually climbs fast once it starts catching those fines.
