Wind keeps pushing all the leaves to one corner of the pool.

Ever since the weather started getting windier, I’ve noticed most of the leaves and little bits of debris end up stuck in the same corner of my pool. The skimmer is actually on the opposite side, so they just collect there until I scoop them out. When the pump is running I can see some movement, but the wind seems to win most of the time. Is this just how pools behave when the wind hits from a certain direction, or is there a way to improve the circulation so debris moves toward the skimmer instead?

Wind direction can definitely overpower your normal circulation pattern. My pool does the exact same thing when the wind comes from the west. One thing that helped a bit was adjusting the return jets so they push the surface water toward the skimmer side.

I had a similar issue and realized one of my return jets was pointed almost straight down. Once I angled it more toward the surface it started pushing floating stuff across the pool instead of letting it sit in one spot.

Another trick is running the pump a little longer during windy days. More surface movement makes it harder for debris to just sit in a corner. It won’t stop it completely, but it usually helps move things toward the skimmer faster.

Good suggestions. I haven’t really played around with the return jet angles before, so I’ll try pointing them toward the skimmer side and see if that helps. Running the pump longer on windy days is probably a good idea too. Thanks everyone.
